The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

December 12, 2017 · By: Barbara Brooks, BVM · 4 Comments

On this feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe may we be renewed in our faith and our devotion.  May we experience God’s compassion and consolation in our sorrows.  As Our Lady of Guadalupe called upon the Church to heed the voice of the poor, let us in turn pray today for the desperately poor of our world who are fleeing horrors that we cannot even imagine.  Let God’s compassion be ours as we call to mind those who are seeking shelter, food and new lives for themselves and for their suffering children.

Thanks, Barbara, for the special prayer remembering not only Our Lady of Guadalupe but all those who honor her today in so many places in our country and world. Advent peace and blessings.

Thanks so much Barbara for this reminder of the message, given to us through the Mexican people, of Mary's love for the poor and marginated.
